Making progress

So we met this contractor last Saturday, but before that we had a fun adventure. As we were dropping off Easter Service invitation fliers of our church at the neighborhood, we came across a nice house with a few features that we plan to have. So Wayne rang and a lady answered the door. It turned out that they were Christians too. We made a compliment about their nice house, adding that we were planning to remodel our house too and we liked the features of theirs. The lady was like, oh my husband is a contractor and actually he's done all the work on our house. They even invited us in and showed us around...the icing on the cake was that it turned out that the husband was Croatian (I could tell he had some European accent:) and after I mentioned that we were from Hungary, he said 'oh, then we're neighbors' . We've moved in!! Beköltöztünk! :)

I can hardly believe that - even if it's still not official - we've moved in! I am way behind with posts, but here I am:) So I left off with some photos of the kitchen and master bedroom. As soon as we put a bed in the master bedroom early September 2014, we could finally move in. It felt like being newly weds, with just a bed and a chest of drawers there, but we were happy campers to sleep in a king size bed! :) Along with that I could also start using a bigger bathroom. Wayne figured it out that the propane tank could actually be hooked up on the gas line, so we had hot water in the bathroom. Since then we've finished the railings on both balconies, and some touch-up work in the kids' bathroom. My happiest moment, however, was when I could move in the kitchen! It happened in early January 2015. Oh boy, how long I had been waiting for that moment! Now I'm a happy owner of a nice, big kitchen. Some touch-up work still has to be done, but there's nothing bett...
