Stucco is finally done - Végre elkészült a vakolás

Yay, another step forward...I don't count the days, weeks any more...:) I know that God's timing is the perfect timing. So we've been hanging in there for a while, and know that in the end it'll worth it :)
Stucco is finally done, so no more scaffolds around the house. From the outside, it looks (almost) finished :)
Several interior doors have also been put in, but as usual, we have some problems again:) Not all of them were the right size, and our contractor cut them to fit them in...It is not a big deal for me, but Wayne thinks that now the handles are too low...

What is it like to live in a motorhome? Milyen is egy lakókocsiban lakni?

Since it takes a few days for the concrete to dry, I thought to "take a brake" and show you around in our little, cozy motor home :) Though Wayne is an expert when it comes to living or traveling in a motorhome, I had no idea what it was like, until we first were "introduced" to this guy. It's a 1985 36' Titan, and still running. Of course a lot of stuff have been replaced or changed in it. Until about 3 years ago, my parents-in-law used it, and as far as I heard, they had had some adventurous trips, as far as Alaska, British Columbia etc. Well, seems that after 20 years it was time for a change, so they bought a nice new Rexhall push-out giant, and we "inherited" the old one. As a new "homeowner" I had to learn how everything worked. By now I've been familiar with most of them...air conditioning, gas stove and oven, ceiling fans, shower and bathroom (well, that's kind of an exaggeration, since there's only a sink and a toilet

We've moved in!! Beköltöztünk! :)

I can hardly believe that - even if it's still not official - we've moved in! I am way behind with posts, but here I am:) So I left off with some photos of the kitchen and master bedroom. As soon as we put a bed in the master bedroom early September 2014, we could finally move in. It felt like being newly weds, with just a bed and a chest of drawers there, but we were happy campers to sleep in a king size bed! :) Along with that I could also start using a bigger bathroom. Wayne figured it out that the propane tank could actually be hooked up on the gas line, so we had hot water in the bathroom. Since then we've finished the railings on both balconies, and some touch-up work in the kids' bathroom. My happiest moment, however, was when I could move in the kitchen! It happened in early January 2015. Oh boy, how long I had been waiting for that moment! Now I'm a happy owner of a nice, big kitchen. Some touch-up work still has to be done, but there's nothing bett

A big surprise :) Nagy meglepetés

As parents we try to make our kids happy, and I think that was in the back of Wayne's mind when he came up with the idea of finishing Reni's bedroom by the time she gets back from the orientation week at her college. I thought it was a brilliant idea, except for the fact that we only had 5 days to accomplish it :) But we like challenges, so we decided to do our best. I got really excited, since this is something I've been waiting for months: start shopping for furniture, accessories. I'm sure you guys (especially women) can relate to this, right? :) So I started my frantic online shopping on Monday, trying to find the bed that Reni likes (dark wood, not too low profile), but I couldn't find any nice one in the price range we can afford, and the one we had picked earlier with Reni, couldn't have been delivered on time. So I gave up on the new bed, and decided to use the one we had in her old bedroom (a white twin bed).  Besides shopping for accessories, the mai
