We are going to have roof over our head soon - Hamarosan tető kerül a fejünk fölé :)

Exciting day again...the trusses for the roof arrived this morning, as it was promised. So we'll have roof over our heads soon...:)

Ismét egy izgalmas nap...megérkeztek a tetőelemek ma reggel, ahogy igérték. Szóval hamarosan tető lesz a fejünk felett:)

Végre kezd házformává alakulni a sok kusza gerendából álló építmény. Lehet,hogy tavasszal ott kell hagyni a kényelmes lakókocsit ?

Most már jobban el tudom képzelni milyen is lesz az otthonotok és bár még csak a "körvonalak" vannak meg látom,hogy igazi amerikai ház lesz:szép,tágas,"robosztus",kényelmes1mondatban:Olyan amiben jó lakni.

Today's accomplishment .. A mai nap eredménye

...so today's accomplishment is this: the blocks have been delivered, the crane arrived on time and the blocks are being lowered into the basement area just right now. Not bad...Good thing it is "just" 95F today. ...szóval a mai nap eredménye: a betontégla megérkezett (nem is tudom, téglának illik-e nevezni:), a daru is itt volt reggel időben, és most éppen pakolják a raklapokat a basementbe...jó kis munka...szerencsére ma már "csak" 35c-os meleg van..

Making progress

So we met this contractor last Saturday, but before that we had a fun adventure. As we were dropping off Easter Service invitation fliers of our church at the neighborhood, we came across a nice house with a few features that we plan to have. So Wayne rang and a lady answered the door. It turned out that they were Christians too. We made a compliment about their nice house, adding that we were planning to remodel our house too and we liked the features of theirs. The lady was like, oh my husband is a contractor and actually he's done all the work on our house. They even invited us in and showed us around...the icing on the cake was that it turned out that the husband was Croatian (I could tell he had some European accent:) and after I mentioned that we were from Hungary, he said 'oh, then we're neighbors' . I like these little “adventures” or coincidences, I know there are no coincidences though. Anyway, back to our meeting with the contractor. I can tell that it wa...
