Building our new house - Ha felépül egyszer a házunk...

Wow, I can hardly believe that another couple of months went by...and we're still in our motorhome...and we're still hanging in there:) At least we're close to finishing all the painting in the house. We have 4 main colors: peachy-orange in the kitchen (Behr - Coral Gold), creamy yellowish in the bedrooms (Behr - Havan Cream), light greyish-blue in the living room and in 2 bathrooms (Behr - Sprakling Spring) and very light cream or rather off-white in 2 other bathrooms (Behr - Powder Sand) Here are a few pictures when painting still was in progress... Coral Gold in kitchen - konyha Havana Cream, guest bedroom - vendég háló Sparkling Spring in the living room - nappali Havana Cream in master bedroom - szülői háló   Alig tudom elhinni, hogy ismét eltelt 2 hónap...és még mindig a lakókocsiban vagyunk...és még mindig kitartunk:) De legalább a festéssel majdnem kész vagyunk. 4 fő szint választottunk: barack-narancsos a konyhában, krémes sárga a hál...

Yes, things have been speeding up! So 2 layers of stucco have been put on this week. We have to wait about ten days and then the last - colored - layer is next. We went on "color hunting" with Wayne yesterday, to check out houses in the neighborhood and see stucco colors. I'm leaning toward a yellowish-peachy, kinda muted color, because a brighter yellow (which we picked first) would stand out too much. Egy sárgás-őszibarack-szerű szin felé hajlok, ami viszonylag visszafogott, mert egy erőteljesebb sárga (amit eredetileg választottunk) a közvetlen környezetből nagyon "kitűnne". Yes, we are celebrating, because after another 2-month delay we're back on track again (just like so many times before). The insulation is finally in, and drywalls are being installed next week. Our little "castle" is getting more like a house inside, because we can't see through the walls any more. Yay, we have our first drywall - Hurrá, az első gipszkarton fal végre helyére került Igen, ünnepelünk, mert egy újabb 2 hónapos kényszerpihenő után ismét sinen vagyunk (csakúgy, mint annyiszor már). Végre elkészült a szigetelés, a gipszkarton falak pedig előreláthatóan jövő héten kerülnek a helyükre. Most már jobban ház kinézete van belül is a mi kis "palotánknak", mert nem lehet átlátni a falakon. I hope that from now on I can upload more posts, more pictures and more often:) Fingers crossed:) We have a tentative date for rough inspection for November 14th, which means that all the framing that left and rough electrical (mainly in the kitchen and bathrooms) have to be finished. Also, the bath tubs are going to be installed, and main AC unit connected and tested. We had several guys  working on different tasks today. It was so good to see all of them around the house:) The garage door has finally arrived and got installed, as well as the AC unit on the roof. So, we are making progress. Remélem, hogy mostantól kezdve több posztot, több képet és gyakrabban tölthetek fel:) Drukkolok. November 14-re van egy (még nem végleges) időpontunk, ennek a fázisnak az ellenőrzésére. Ez annyit jelent, hogy addigra be kell fejezni a még hátralevő ácsmunkákat, az elektromos vezetékeket (főleg a konyhávan és a fürdőszobákban). Emellett a fürdőkádakat és a lékondicionáló berendezést is be kel...

So we've waiting for a few things to be finished (bath tubs to be installed, and kitchen electrical to be finished for example) so we can pass the rough inspection. In the meantime, we're shopping for kitchen appliances. We've chosen GE appliances. I like the modern look and functionality of them. This is the list we have:  1.
