I'm proud of my man:)

The motorhome in the backyard..It was quite challanging to park it there:) A lakókocsi a hátsó kertben...elég nagy feladat volt beparkolni!

Wayne, having fun with the forklift:) Wayne, amint éppen "jatszik" az emelővel:)

I'm proud of my man, because he managed to park the motorhome in the backyard..It wasn't easy, took quite some effort to manoever there, but finally the motorhome is where it should be -and where it will be for the next 6 months. Not only did my hubby park the trailer, he also had some fun moving the blocks around:) He rented a forklift..it was fun watch him "playing" with that machine:) Well, when it comes to machines, men are big boys, aren't they?
The other good news is that we finally signed the contract with the contractor, and now are ready to demo the old house and build the new one! Even if we can't start to build the backwall, we still can go ahead and take the next step, since we have the permit for the demo and excavation...The only problem - as I mentioned earlier - was to move the motorhome and make room for it..That's being done, we're now getting ready to say goodbye to our house:) I'm getting excited :) So are the kids:) Good thing, Reni's last day at school is June 4th, so she doesn't have to study in the shed:)
All of a sudden, the things seem to speed up: today (Thursday, June 3rd) the gas was disconnected, and if I hadn't told the DWP guys to wait till Monday, even the electricity would've been disconnected too:-)

A gyerekeknek is!

Hello everyone! Üdv mindenkinek!

Today's accomplishment .. A mai nap eredménye

...so today's accomplishment is this: the blocks have been delivered, the crane arrived on time and the blocks are being lowered into the basement area just right now. Not bad...Good thing it is "just" 95F today.

Making progress

So we met this contractor last Saturday, but before that we had a fun adventure. As we were dropping off Easter Service invitation fliers of our church at the neighborhood, we came across a nice house with a few features that we plan to have. So Wayne rang and a lady answered the door. It turned out that they were Christians too. We made a compliment about their nice house, adding that we were planning to remodel our house too and we liked the features of theirs. The lady was like, oh my husband is a contractor and actually he's done all the work on our house. They even invited us in and showed us around...the icing on the cake was that it turned out that the husband was Croatian (I could tell he had some European accent:) and after I mentioned that we were from Hungary, he said 'oh, then we're neighbors' . I like these little “adventures” or coincidences, I know there are no coincidences though. Anyway, back to our meeting with the contractor. I can tell that it wa...
